In this day and age, it's safe to say that almost every person owns a mobile phone. Cellular technology is expanding at an unprecedented pace, giving way to endless capabilities for hand held devices. However, what does this all mean to you, the user?
There are two primary types of handsets - feature phones and smart phones. Feature phones have been around for the better part of a decade, and include rudimentary attributes such as a tactile keyboard, a camera, and text messaging. Additionally, they have a difficult time reaching optimal processing speeds that are needed to smoothly operate many of the phone's functions (wifi, mp3 player, email, etc). Nevertheless, these devices are adequate for helping you with your basic every day activities.
The second type of handset is called a smart phone. This mobile device encompasses all the capabilities of a feature phone without any of the limitations, combining form and functionality. Think of your smart phone as a miniature personal computer. Every device has an operating system - such as Apple's iOS or Google's Android - that has exponentially increased processing speeds. This allows you to do truly amazing things such as effortlessly video-chat with your friends, read your favorite books or magazines, and even play high-definition video games – all on your smart phone.
Another defining capability of a smart phone is its ability to run applications (more commonly known as "apps"). From a plethora of categories that include gaming, fashion, business, and comedy, there is a limitless amount of apps at your fingertips.
Smart phones are redefining the way in which we communicate with the world. Outsmart the competition by purchasing a smart phone that perfectly complements your lifestyle.
